About
this work

In this project, I got inspired by the street, working on three different topics: graffiti, layering, and chaos, and developed fashion designs for each. During my research, I focused on things that are usually not noticed, capturing the layered and chaotic nature of unplanned urbanization alongside the layered graffiti that decorates the walls of Istanbul. I experimented with different textures and even created my own tag to add to the experience and learn different graffiti styles and techniques. Material-wise, I combined watercolor and acrylic markers to bring the final clothing designs to life. Watercolor allowed easy layering with the use of the right technique, while the markers added sharp, graphic details. Ultimately, this research resulted in these three unique clothing designs that bridge urban art with fashion.
