About
this work

In this work, I wanted to challenge the concept of ideal work as well as a traditional muse. By collaging my face disoriented and out of proportion, I aimed to show that an 'ideal' form does not exist. During the process, I researched different digital collage techniques and color combinations to find the right balance. Material-wise, I combined acrylic markers and graphite pencils. The markers allowed me to replicate the flat digital look, whereas the graphite pencils created a familiar and comfortable texture. The final result distorts my features completely, consciously rejecting any form of idealized beauty.
