About
this work

These designs were developed during a three-week fashion design summer course at Istituto Marangoni. While creating these designs, I got my inspiration from bugs, specifically endangered insect species. I aimed to highlight the issue of insect extinction by using their unique patterns and organic structures in my concepts. By incorporating this environmental crisis into my work, I wanted to raise awareness about the problem. During my process, I researched threatened insects and explored how to translate their intricate and delicate anatomy into garments. Material-wise, I used markers, watercolors, and pencils to develop the visuals. In the end, I created six distinct clothing designs that reflect both the fascinating aesthetics of these insects and the environmental threat they face.
